Private First Class Jonathan M. Villanueva, 19, of Jacksonville Florida died on April 27th, 2011 from wounds suffered when his unit was engaged by enemy forces with small arms fire and rocket propelled grenades in Wardak Province, Afghanistan. Jonathan was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4 Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, of the 10th Mountain Division in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Jonathan was assigned that night as a mounted vehicle gunner when he was struck down by enemy fire. Jonathan was an Infantryman and he was part of a brotherhood of warriors that lived to fight for each other and for their country. Jonathan was a quiet professional, always doing his job and never boasting. Jonathan was the epitome of what every Infantryman strives to be. While doing this workout remember to honor a young man that was willing to lay down his life for others even though he had his whole life still ahead of him. Remember that the warrior spirit he had was not sacrificed in vain but to protect the very freedoms we love and hold dear.

This workout is a tribute in honor of our fallen brother on behalf of all of Devil Company 4th Platoon, OEF 10-11. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
