CROSSFIT

What are the benefits of this program?

The definition of Crossfit says everything: Crossfit is constantly varied, high intensity functional movement. It is not a specialized fitness program. It is broad, general and inclusive and a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. Just come in for your free consultation and you’ll get it. If you think you can’t Crossfit, we want to prove you wrong. CrossFit is a program for everyone. There is no such thing as getting in shape for CrossFit, as we dedicate ourselves and our programs on progressing each person no matter what their fitness level is and or what their history is.

What does the class look like?

One hour class that includes a specific warmup for the exercises being done that day, some type of strength or Olympic Weightlifting component (i.e. Back Squats or Power Cleans), a conditioning workout, and finally, a specific recovery protocol for that day’s workout.

BARBELL CLUB

What are the benefits of this program?

The goal of Elite Barbell Club is to provide a class dedicated to improving Olympic Weightlifing, and Powerlifting skill and technique. It is included as part of the Unlimited Spark membership. In addition to improving proficiency, members of the Barbell Club also receive guidance to prepare (optionally) for competition in local weightlifting meets. The Elite Barbell Club was started here as a way to help people improve in their strength using traditional barbell methods.

What does the class look like?

Meant as a supplement to normal CrossFit classes, This class will help you become stronger, more confident and comfortable when it comes to using lifts that utilize the barbell. Each Elite barbell class includes a specific warm up for that day’s exercises, followed by drills to develop technique in the lifts, heavier sets of the lifts or variations of the lifts, and some type of barbell conditioning work.

NUTRITION COACHING

What are the benefits of this program?
The biggest part of adopting and having success with a lifestyle transformation is your diet. Here at Elite our focus is not solely on fitness, that would be shortsighted. Instead we focus on the entire continuum of wellness, which includes movement, nutrition and recovery. Most gyms will give you access and coach you through your workout, but your results will always be limited or short-lived without continued support in fueling your body appropriately

What’s different about Elite nutrition? We HATE diets! You heard us right. Why? Because restrictive, short term dieting has a low degree of compliance and usually only adds stress. Eating less doesn’t work, severely restricting usually backfires. We prefer a sustainable approach instead. A proper strength and conditioning protocol only goes as far as your ability to fuel your body and recover quickly. Our Nutrition Coaching will address your specific nutritional needs and create a macronutrient based prescription.

COMPETE

Our goal is simple: provide our athletes the foundation and specific tools they need to succeed in competition, while simultaneously grow a strong community of like-minded athletes eager to better themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. Compete targets athletes interested in competing in local competitions, the Open, and Regionals. We develop well-rounded, competition ready athletes through carefully planned programming, aerobic fine tuning, strength & skill development, and bias work meant to specifically target weaknesses.

Training Schedule

Compete programming consists of training 5x/week (M, Tu, W, F, Sa). Thursday and Sunday are prescribed rest or active recovery days. If an athlete needs to train on a prescribed rest day, rest as needed and complete a five day training regimen. In this case, the athlete has the option to do the Spark60 workout with class for that given day or make-up the missed day during open gym hours.

Breakdown of Bias Work

Daily bias work will be included to help eliminate any weaknesses in your arsenal. Athletes should choose bias work specific to their own areas of weakness and strength. A single bias should be followed for a period no shorter than 3-6 weeks then reevaluate.
