How has training at Elite helped you become the person you were meant to be?

Before coming to Elite I had been attending another box in town, when we moved I was unsure about joining a new gym. I was comfortable where I was but the drive was impossible.  When my cousin showed interest in giving Crossfit a try I promised to go with her to ease the transition. I noticed almost immediately that I had not only become comfortable with the people and atmosphere of my old box, but I had also become complacent in the workouts. I hadn't really been pushing myself to my full potential. I used to look at the RX weight on workouts and think "Can't do that weight" or hear the coaches talk about the amount of rounds you should complete and say "That doesn't apply to me."  The amazing coaching staff at Elite takes the time and dedication to get to know each person in their classes. Now I look at workouts through a new positive lens and I love the push of coaches screaming at you during the workout, "Why aren't you doing RX? Put the weight on the bar!" (love you Jacque!) or "I can't wait until one day when you come to class and decide today I'm going to lift to my full potential...(thanks Corey!). If it wasn't for Elite I would still be comfortable and complacent, instead I am pushing myself to new goals everyday!

What adventures, events, trips, races do you have planned?

I am doing my first Winter Wonder WOD this Saturday! Very nervous and excited!

My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year dating anniversary with a trip to London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam this December. We will be gone for 2 weeks!

What would you do and where would you go if time / money were not object?

We are checking some bucket list items with our London trip, but I have always wanted to go to Germany. I was raised in New Braunfels and I love experiencing the german culture!

Goals
Fitness  - My fitness goal all year has been speed. My stamina during workouts has always been a struggle. Other fitness goals are: Handstand walk and stringing together T2B and pull-ups.
Professional - I am a first grade teacher in Northside ISD. The goal that I made at the beginning of this year was to have 90% of my students reading above grade level by the end of the year!
Personal - Spend less time at work (I have been overworking myself for years)!
